To become a member of IBEW Local 995, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must live or work in the Local 995 jurisdiction
- Have a Louisiana State drivers license
- Test with the Local 995 examining board
Once your required documents are submitted, we schedule an assessment test to determine your knowledge of the electrical industry. Depending on the results of the test and the hours you turn in, we will determine if you need more training to become a journeyman or if you meet the requirements for Journeyman Classification.
