IBEW 995 wants to increase the market share of our signatory contractors – no matter the size and capability of their company – with access to a highly trained, highly skilled, on-demand workforce. In addition to access to the region’s premier electrical workforce, becoming an IBEW Local 995 signatory contractor gives their existing workforce access to upgrade and safety training courses through the Electrical Training Center.

Our signatory contractors also gain membership to the Baton Rouge chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA), which comes with benefits such as conference invitations, workshop opportunities, marketing opportunities and other incentives

Training your workforce

As a large contractor, you employ a workforce, which you have trusted for years, and that is great! You can keep your existing workforce, but help them become more efficient and better skilled to do their job. Employees of IBEW Local 995 signatory contractors can take upgrade training courses to improve their existing skillset.

For those current employees who do not have skillset to reach journeymen status, they can enter the Local 995 registered apprenticeship program, which will train them to become journeyman through on-the-job and classroom training.
